Work – Life Balance

Reed understands the importance of balancing work and play

Only you can determine when your professional life ends and your personal life begins. We’re here to help you make your best contribution in both.

Reed values our employees and recognizes that they are the foundation of our company. We believe that maintaining balance between personal and professional life is a key to success. At Reed, we encourage our employees to find balance between rewarding personal achievements and fulfilling careers. We have several programs that help accommodate our employees’ diverse needs.

Continuing Education – Continuing education is vital at all levels of any organization, and Reed supports professional and personal development. From certifications training, degree program tuition reimbursement and to many professional, technology, and personal interest communities, you’ll find easy ways to stay informed on industry best practices. We also pay up to $300 towards your professional society yearly membership fees.

Reed Offered Classes – Employees are eligible to sit through most any of the courses provided by Reed. See Our Training for courses taught by Reed.

Employee Bonuses – Employees may receive bonuses from time to time. These are based on individual merit, the company’s profitability, and any other factor(s) deemed significant by the company.

Referral Bonus – Reed provides a $500 cash payment to corporate employees referring an applicant who is subsequently hired.

Paid Time-Off : Finding time for relaxation and personal responsibilities is a vital part of a healthy work-life balance program. Reed’ paid time-off (PTO) program allows employees to earn and use PTO for vacation, personal, sick-leave, family illness, family obligations, and religious holidays. If you decide not to take all of your PTO in a calendar year up to two weeks will carry over from year-to-year.

Holidays/Floating Holiday: We recognize that holidays are times to be spent having a good time with your family and friends. Reed provides ten company-paid holidays each year:

  • New Years’ Day
  • President’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving, and
  • Christmas.

If company needs require the employee to work on any of the above holidays Reed has a Floating Holiday program in which we allow the employee to take that time off on any day of their choosing. We also take time to celebrate during our holiday office parties!

Volunteer Work – Community service is a fixture of Reed’s culture. We believe that giving back to the community is a key factor on not only helping benefit local communities but also bringing fun and fulfillment into our employees lives. We offer one paid day off each year for the employee to volunteer at the organization or cause of their choosing.

Contributions – Reed strongly believes in supporting the communities where it has operations. The Company makes annual donations to several national and local charities and organizations.

Reed is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
